The Spring production from Chinnor Players is MOVE OVER MRS MARKHAM by Ray Cooney and John Chapman. The action for this fast moving farce takes place in the flat of Mr and Mrs Markham – a happy couple married for 15 years. Philip Markham’s business partner, Henry Lodge, requests to use the flat to entertain his latest paramour whilst the Markhams’ attend a publishers’ dinner. His wife, Linda, asks the same of Joanna Markham in order to amuse her lover, Walter. Meanwhile, Alistair forges his own plans with the au pair, Sylvie. Chaos ensues as a love letter falls into the wrong hands and all three couples descend on the Markhams’ flat. On top of which, a wealthy prospective client appears to discuss childrens’ books! A very funny play, and a great evening’s entertainment for under £5. Move Over Mrs Markham is showing at Chinnor Village Hall on May 23rd, 24th and 25th from 7.45pm.
