CHINNOR AND THAME FRIENDS OF THE EARTH Summer Green FayreBig Bike Sale at this year’s Green Fayre at Chinnor Village Hall on Sunday 13th June from 10am to 3pm. Second hand bikes for all ages will be on sale, and if you have a bike to sell, bring it along and we will try to sell it for you. All you have to do is label your bike with your name, telephone number and the selling price, we will do the rest. We will charge £5 for selling your bike. Just bring it along at around 9am on the day. Other attractions include a big plant sale with garden and household plants at very reasonable prices. There will be plenty for children to do at the Green Fayre, with craft activities, painting, making cards and playdough gardens. With Fathers’ Day only a week away, children will be able to make their dad a card and a present, and give him a real surprise of something they have made themselves. There will also be a children’s play area with toys and a mini ride-on train, to keep them amused. For adults we will be having a card making activity called tea paper folding, and a can crushing game, as well as the usual Raffle and Tombola Stalls. Colourful stalls will add to the fun of the event. So why not come along for your lunch…….on the menu will be ploughman’s lunches at only £2, as well as organic cakes throughout the day, with teas and coffee and cold drinks. This event is put on by Chinnor and Thame Friends of the Earth, to promote environmental awareness and action. Two additional attractions at the GREEN FAYRE will make this a special event not to be missed. Local storyteller Margie Barber from TV’s Jackanory will be entertaining children from about 11am. Local Folk Band Bodger’s Wood will be playing live from about 12 noon onwards Entrance is FREE and all proceeds from the event will go towards local environmental work. |
